Nostalgia attacks

I was last assaulted by nostalgia fairly recently, when I was stumbling blindly around YouTube and came across this video.


For the record, I think little of Runescape. But hearing that song again took me back to around the school years of 7 and 8, when I was trying to organise games with my friends by ringing them in between dial-up connection attempts, and doing many exciting things such as helping the lazy-arse castle chef make a birthday cake, and helping the lazy-arse farmer shear his sheep, and other sentimental crap like that.

Before that, at Christmas, I had the pleasure of playing Mario Kart again for the first time in around 13 years.

It was amazing.

When was the last time you were hit with a wave of nostalgia?

Same here. I don't know why I played it, tbh, but it didn't affect my life that much. Unlike the impact of games on this year's school work output.

Well, I recently started watching Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo again... Trippy awesome blast from the good 'ole days of Cartoon Network... past.

Yeah, lot of nostalgia hitting actually. Mostly pokemon to be honest, some Buffy the Vampire slayer - but as you say some mumorpuger (RS/WoW) aswell.

With this music, I get memories of my first few levels... and then the grinding to a ridiculous woodcutting level.

I also get nostalgia attacks from the Night Elf starting zone music from WoW. I spent a whole summer there with my friend.

Whenever I watch Farscape or listen to Songs about Jane by Maroon 5 I get a hit of nostalgia. It's nice, because I always remember awesome things from times gone by, and I smell musty old books and cinnamon... Ah, the good ol days.

I had this happen when I pulled out my copy of Dragon Warrior 3 for GB earlier in the week. Was checking it to make sure the battery worked, and got absorbed into it within seconds. And then remembered I was doing this because I had agreed to sell it... I put way too many hours in to that game.

Whenever i watch an episode of an old anime(doesn't matter if i even watched it as a kid)i get hit with a nostalgia wave.
I get hit with nostalgia quite a bit actually.

Man, this tune brings me back! I wonder if my account's still active; it must've been at least three years since I fired it up.

Other than that, I just signed up for PSN a couple of weeks ago, and the first thing I did was download the old Spyro games for PS1 (2 and 3, since I already had the first one). They bring back so many memories, and are legitimately fun, too; I just knocked out the second game 100%, and am now moving on to the third. God, I love those games...

The other day when I was looking through Youtube and I came across the music from Route 1 in Pokemon Red/Blue, took me back to when I was five and got my Gameboy, my first console, albeit hand-held. The wave of nostalgia almost made me tear up. I miss my lvl 100 Mewtwo.
