So I've been trying to register a Steam account for the past several days. When I go through the registration page, I enter all the information I need, and click the 'create account' button, whereupon the page scrolls back up to the top, asking me to re-enter the randomly generated series of characters at the bottom to "confirm my humanity". I comply, and the page will repeat this action several times before telling me that my request to create an account has failed. I've tried to register about half a dozen times over the past 3-4 days, and it's becoming quite frustrating.
I've set up a Steam support account, however, and have tried to ask a question to Steam (the first paragraph of this is basically a copypasta of my question). However, when it asks me to categorize the question I've had issues, because there doesn't seem to be any category that fits my question. I've tried to pick the one that's most appropriate, but when I do (irony of all ironies!!) it asks me for my Steam account. Can someone please help me here?
