I love my kitten. I love porn. Different loves. And this thread is keeping me from one of those loves. Guess which.

And that double post there isn't particularly good. Gotta watch that. Use the Edit button.

Well, first you have to ask yourself "What is love?" After that you should tell the person of your affection "Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more." Only then can you find the answer to your question.

...yeah, not sure if you all will get it, but it's worth a shot.

No. "Love" is not overrated-- it's an extremely powerful, inspiring emotion. Unfortunately, human emotions are influenced by the fickle and unpredictable human brain, which means love seldom lasts.

But, as they say, 'tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I would've loved to win the Xbox 360, copy of Fable 2, and HDTV you've got coming your way. Is that troll enough?

There's never quite a feeling of being in love and feeling so wonderful and warm. Working to make love last is hard and sometimes you'll want to give up on the whole thing, but it's usually worth it in the end. Losing love is one of the most painful things you'll ever feel and can be hard to get past and you'll probably remember for the rest of your life.

Also you're a jerk(sorry I don't have much practice at trolling)

Ah that's because The Escapist is largely devoid of traditional trolls.

To be honest I'd much rather have never loved at all than loved and lost it, because losing somebody you love is without question the worst feeling in the world. But on the other hand you do have to take a chance now and again or you risk missing out completely.

quite simple like 90% of life is over rated..... love included
No it's not. Life is a wonderful fantastic glorious thing. (I'm not religious by the way if you were wondering). Love is one of the things I'm not sure about though. At times it can be the most fulfilling and inspiring emotion in your life, and at other times it can be utterly soul-destroying.

If you are currently in love and are loved, then no it's not. If you are outside of the love circle looking in, then hell yes it's over rated.

This love has taken its toll on me
She said goodbye too many times before
And her heart is breaking in front of me
I have no choice cause I won't say goodbye anymore!

Love is the most important thing we have in life. If you don't believe me have a child someday and actually be a daddy to the kid. The way my son smiles when he sees me and runs to me yelling "daddy, daddy!" is pure magic. It's probably the most genuine and pure love anyone will ever be able to attain, it's even better than the love of my wife, which is still pretty great, but this is so much more powerful.

Platonic, then?

Well, most people will never even know true love.
