Well, I recall you saying that you were in the service.. so older than 18...

I'm gonna say... 23 years old?

OT: I'm 16 going on 17, and I'd say I pretty much look the age.
26 years old ^_^

...wait, do I look 23?
From your picture, yes. :D
You mean from that 75x75?

You should never tell a waitress to "suck it". They're human beings for a start, their bosses make sure they know there are consequences for selling booze to people not old enough(fines/lay off). If decency doesn't do it for you, just think about what they can do to anything you order.

OT: I'm 23 but most people guess about 17, it doesn't bother me at all.

A woman who tried to hit on me several times because she thought I was 31 ( I don't even look that old ), the days passed and we ended up having a discussion about our age, the horror painted on her face when she heard I was actually 20.

[INB4 Tekka the stud]

I am now turning 22, and believe that I look 22.

Wait isn't this a rhetorical question; i.e. don't answer it cos if you answer it incorrectly you get punched in the face ;-)

Other examples are "Does this make me look fat?" and "Do you know why I'm angry at you?"
Nah, when I ask a question, I expect an answer. When I ask a rhetorical question, they're more like rhetorical statements (ie, "I'm fat."), in which case, people would just stare at me coldly because that statement is only looking for attention. My rhetorical statements are more along the lines of "There is no God" or "Humanity can suck itself, because we're all a bunch of dicks". That sort of thing.

A little while back, I was out at a pub with my friends to celebrate my birthday (I turned twenty one.) When the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked for a Keiths and she said that someone that is my age should not be ordering beer. I asked how old she thought I was. She responded with the straightest face ?turning sixteen". I was so pissed. I showed her my ID and said to suck on that and told her she just lost her tip for that night.

I did not let this bother me, but just today when I was walking my dog at about eleven in the morning. A woman had come up to me asking about my dog and then asked why I was not in school. I told her that I was finished school and I was in college. She had apologized and said that I looked seventeen.

I know this should not bother me but it does because I am in my early twenties and people who look at me think I am still in secondary school.
So my question is
Have you ever been mistaken for being older or younger and does it bother you?
Self contradictions galore.

On topic though, people think I am older than I am. When I was twenty, I was sometimes pegged as 25 or there-about. I aged a lot between 17 and 20. When I was 17, I looked like I was 14. It also helped a lot when I shaved off my curly hair and grew a beard.
I had meant that at the moment at the pub I did not let it bother me.
but later in time it now does.
sorry about the wording.

Well, I used to get that but I'm quite hairy really, and as of late I've gone for the Mastodon (or for those of you not into metal, scottish warlord) look. beards make you look a lot older, especially a full one. I grew one after people kept thinking I was younger than I was and I started getting very into Mastodon.

I've got no photos of me recently (other than stuff at-distance), so here's a picture of the guys from Mastodon:
Like the really hairy guy with the tattoo on his face, Brent Hinds, except my face isn't as broad, my hair is darker (and not so receeding, thank god) and I've got no tattoos. In fact, I don't really look like that except the amount of hair.

In my younger teenage years i probably looked a bit older than i really was. At 14 i had facial hair and by the time i was 16 i was shaving reguarly.

I'm 26. When i've got a full beard, which is most of my lazy ass life, people think i'm in my early 40s. So then I get a clean shave and then get ID'd trying to buy alcohol...

Can't win...

You look young, deal with it, dont be a jackass to people lol im 22 and look 15 or 16. Later though, looking young will be a good thing. Just carry 2 ID's on you.

You look like this one girl that I know that is 14.

OT:Well I'm 16.But I could pass off as someone 18-19 years old.I did get into a strip club once without showing any sorts of ID.So I guess I look older then I am.

I'm 20...and I wish that I looked like my 16 year old self.

I wasn't losing any hair during that time...That, and I was in shape.

When you're a woman it's never offensive if someone mistakes you for being younger.
I'm 21, but I'm often told I look between 16-18.

I'm 14, and the other day a woman asked me if I was back home for the summer. I gave her a puzzled look, and she went "OH!!! You're not in college yet." I seriously don't know how she did that. I don't look 18/19 by any means.

Well, a friend of mine had the opposite problem, she and her friends were always going to the same bar where you have to be 21 to enter (here the legal drinking age is 18, but some bars migth require you to be older) she tried to enter lots of times, and she couldn't. When she turned 21 where do you think she went... rigth to that same bar, when she entered they never asked her for her ID... so she went mad and said something like "NOW YOU DON'T ASK FOR MY ID...NO YOU DON'T!!!!" which cost her to be kicked out of the bar. So in short she never entered.
