Ya, I'm 20 and people tend to think that I'm like 25 or 26, I could care less though it's probably better to look older anyways.

being 22, it does tend to piss me of when people pass me as sixteen when buying beer, cigarettes, or when I go to a casino. But I figure that it will pay off when I get older. I just need to stay in my basement and avoid sunlight.

When I was in my teens I looked my age. Now, I'm 34 & look like I'm in my early 20's.

I have a friend who's about 27. His wife is about 25, part Asian, & looks like she's 12. People at parties who don't know his age have asked if she was his daughter. He just laughs & sets them straight. She's really shy & just gets a sheepish look on her face. That happens to them a lot.

22 but i routinely get mistaken for a high schooler. Until the presumer hears my voice (its very deep) and sees all my tattoos and realizes I'm holding a beer.

One thing however, i grow very little facial hair. While that doesn't seem that great or appealing, its a freaking blessing in the military, i shave once a week or so while some guys have to shave twice a day....

I get the reverse, being mistaken for being older than I am. Me and a bunch of other guys (all of them in their mid/late twenties, me 17 at the time) were getting together for a poker night. This guy I had just met asked if I wanted a beer. I said no thanks, I didn't drink. Another guy, who I've known for years but is about 8 years older than me, asks when I turn 18. The first guy's response? "What the fuck?" I've never thought I really look that old, guess I can't blame the guy, considering the circumstances. Was still funny, though.

Bear in mind that I am 36.

A couple months ago I was age checked in my local Asda for buying a packet of Rennie antacids (no, I don't get that either). Apparently onky people over the age of 16 can buy indigestion rememdy

And a few years ago I was in an off licence buying a very expensive bottle of champagne for ny Grandma and got carded. As if underage drinkers would choose that.

Plus, although female, I occasionally get called "Sir" (including on the phone). I find it amusing.

I'm not as old as most of the people here, but I recognise the phenomenon. Only time when buying alcoholic bewerages I've not been asked papers was when I was carrying 10 kg dog food sack with me.

I've never had that, but my brother had it all the time. He has a large chin that makes him look five years older than he actually is; at sixteen, people thought he was in his mid-twenties...

I'm 22, and people frequently assume I'm younger than my brothers, who are 16 and 20 respectively. Oh, and on the phone, I get mistaken for a woman.

I'm 14, and everyone thinks I'm 12 just because my growth patern is a year behind because of a medication that I was TESTING at the time. I hate the doctor so much

I'm 22 and really young looking. A few years ago was really annoying. I was getting carded for R rated movies and M rated games, while at the same time being questioned for paying the minor fare on the bus.

I was so pissed. I showed her my ID and said to suck on that and told her she just lost her tip for that night.
Rage much?

I'm 24, and I get asked what high school I go to. I love getting carded...it makes me forget about my grey hairs.
I actually also don't see the problem of OP's. Looking younger that is. And I like it also when people asks me ID, which they don't usually :( I think that younger looking people are just good in genes and will not look bad when they get old. I'm 25 and I have like never been asked for IDs. Not even when I was around 18. I think I'm rotting outside in : /

I'm not surprised she mistook you for a 16 year old if you told her to "suck on that."

Anyway. I was about to post a picture and ask someone to guess my age, but it's on my profile so...

I'm 18 but everyone tells me I look 15.
It's funny though, when I'm in a bar, I'm 15 but when I'm on the train or at the cinema, I'm an adult and have to pay full price. Fuckers.

I've always looked about 20. Now I am 20 it is quite ok.

I wouldn't worry about being ID'd baby face.

Ditto.

Damn kids these days, don't know how much of a joy being asked for ID really is!
