I downloaded GMod and Counter Strike Source today to play Trouble in terroirst town, only problem is when I start up Gmod and click on multiplayer, there are no servers. There's just a blank white box. I even tried searching for a server on steam and it says "No internet games responded to this query".

I looked around for a solution and found quite a few people with the same issue but no solutions.

This is supposed to work: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1452-HCVB-6984
Doesn't describe the same issue but the solution fixes the same problem; just download the masterservers files and put them where it says. Had this issue with Chivalry, might have also been a problem with Gmod in the past, I know it's happened other times. This will hopefully fix things.

Just tried it but the problem continues. Thanks for the help anyways.

Whelp, not sure of a solution, but there are workarounds. Try the server browser in Steam (View->Servers). If that isn't working, there are web-based server lists (like this one [http://www.gametracker.com/search/garrysmod]). If the join buttons don't work use the connect console command.

Thanks, hopefully it will work properly on my new computer when it arrives but I'll try these work around on my laptop until then.
