'Not so' strange xbox 360 system update.

I turned on my xbox this morning and was surprised to find that it wanted me to download a system update, normally this wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that the update needed 128 MB of free space, Now the only time an update required that much memory was the NXE, but the weird thing is, is that I already have the NXE so I was a little perplexed by this.

Well assuming that this was the NXE I figured downloading the update would only copy over already existing files, which it did, I'm just hoping this isn't some screwy hacker attempt, which brings me to my question, did anyone else receive this system update prompt or was it just me?

i got it too. don't worry too much about it, i think it's to improve netflix or something.

ahhh netflix, the service I never use that clutters up my dashboard. How I hope they've hidden you with this patch.

It was an update for people who were getting sound problems with HDMI cables. I would prefere an update to the blade system instead of the microsoft wii-mii's though...

well that's good to know, the only reason I brought it up was that it wanted to download all 128 Mb of information again, if it was a simple patch they didn't really need to add the "you need 128 MB of free space to download this update" since I only have 37 MB left on my memory card.

Pro Tip: hit the center button on your controller to engage the blade interface. =p
