Wipeout, great music, and whole lot of addicting gameplay.

I don't know if that really qualifies as an indie game since Psygnosis were an established player before Sony bought them and they certainly aren't an indie game now.

I have to agree. I just played through the demo and its simply tragic, definitely the best tower defense adaption available atm.

I can't believe no one has mentioned;

Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden: Chapter One of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa.

What an awesome game, and I'm being completely serious. The battle system is nice, if not at times a little slow. The storyline is funny as all heck, and the music isn't half bad.
