Who would have thought that the success of Minecraft would lead to the return of Psychonauts? :D Big props to Notch, not just for offering to do this but also for acknowleging that it really only matters if Tim wants to go through with it. Nice to see a publisher that cares about this game beyond its sales.

I've never honestly played the game, so i know i can't comment on it fairly, but it's nice to see you guys are getting what you want. I just hope the sequel lives up to your expectations and that you don't get stuck with something you hate. Not trying to put a downer on this but, well...sequels are either good or bad for a series so let's just hope you get one on the good side of the sequel tree. Still, given who's making it, i think it's going to be in safe hands.

you cant really break psychonauts, just go play it you'll understand why it's already mental literally

the only thing I'd worry about is they'll bother to update the game properly for a modern audience

and will they send many callbacks to p1, knowing most of their intended audience wont have played it?

also I REALLY hope they fix the camera and jumping this time as it was difficult to judge before and the camera would sometimes move

Ironically this game received so much publicity about NOT selling well that the sequel will probably sell better than it would have if the game had decent success.

(not that I know how these things work in reality)

It's Tim. It's a given. Hell, he made callbacks to Psychonauts in both Brutal Legend and Costume Quest (haven't finished Stacking, haven't even played that Xbox LIVE game). Nice thing about callbacks is that they simply seem like perfectly innocuous little pieces of scenery to everyone else. Virtually no reason not to give us one or two.

Me, I'm asking for more. Look forward, I know, don't live too much in the past...but is it too much to ask that we run into a certain man again? A certain...Milk Man?!?

just keep the core gameplay in the sequel and the quirky, weird humor and you've got my dollars. Psychonauts was one of the funnest games I've ever played.
