Hey guys, this is my second post lol. Uuh, I just thought I'd give my thoughts and get yours on Assassin's Creed's assassin motto:"Nothing is true, everything is permitted".

"Nothing is true": I think this means that life isn't real. Well, not necessarily untrue but life ends as quickly as it begins as if it wasn't even real. I had some other theories but I forgot them. =/

"Everything is permitted": I'm guessing this means that you should do whatever you want with your life how and when you want to, as do the assassins. Again, I had more for this one but I forgot!

Now, I'd like to know what you think about this. Please post! Thanks!

Anyway, OT: As i've never played the game's i'd figure this was a tounge-in-cheek nod to the fact that the entire game takes place in Desmonds simulated genetic memory:

"Nothing is Ture": Well it's not, as in Desmonds case, this is all a genetic memory recreated virtually.

"Everything is permitted": again, since it's all a memory, and desmonds not really there, anyhting can be done, he can die, he can kill, etc. Nothing is off limits.

... Watch out when you jump out to a "safe to seem" ledge, as an invisible wall pushes you back and you fall down to purgatory.
You are allowed to jump out of the already set course, but that only means instant death, even tough it seems you COULD go there. Don't think you can go around it.

I'm confused. Are you asking what ELSE it could mean? Because they DEFINE it in assassin's creed. They say exactly what it means.
