I think it's only now that people are taking a nationwide act against bullying. What triggered it? No clue.

Me and my friends think less of it. It takes away from class time (sometimes a pro and a con) and we really aren't troubled by it.

I know you'll be thinking I'm insensitive to others. I'm trying to say I don't like it but I guess it's for the greater good.

Bullying is just as serious as its always been. But now thanks to the internet, people have found new ways to bully others. And it also brought bullying into the spotlight when so many adults just looked the other way.

So yeah, I'd say people are just finally realizing what a problem it is. Although I wasn't bullied much in my educational years, but I've witnessed some pretty ridiculous things that just went ignored by teachers and whatnot.

Okay I've seen bullying online before, but I've never experienced it let alone witnessed it at any of my schools, and really never heard of any real problems with it in my region (Seattle, WA). Do you think this is a nation wide/global problem or just regional.

Wait-What's bullying?

Seriously though-Bullying sucks. And I see it every day on others and on myself and it is a huge problem, but ignorance is bliss so people tend to not see anything until someone kills themselves.

Because kids are more whiny today? Ok, that's not fair. It's because parents are more overprotective.

Well online bullying is the new form of bullying. Bullying has always been a serious problem but I know people who are bullied. They never get help, then kill themselves, when if they would of told a adult or a friend it could of been over like that. Suicide rate has risen because no one ever wants to speak. Thats why its escalated.

Yeah, bullying sucks.
The worst part is, kids find ways to be real jerks.
You see, what's happened to me is that they'd see me reading Gameinformer, or Scott Pilgrim, or a fantasy or sci-fi novel, and start acting really patronizing.
And that's how I learned to ignore people who annoy me.

I'll admit, I haven't seen the worst, but bullying has had its impact on me.

There will always be bullying because people are assholes. There are always going to be that group of kids who think it's funny to tap you on the left shoulder while standing on the right side of you so you look the wrong way. "HURR HURR, you had a natural human reaction, HURR HURR." Best to distance yourself from people like that, it makes for a much better day.

Never had personal experience with it, people at my high school were pretty tolerant really. I was in the computer club and on the football team at the same time, so I saw both sides of that equation and it was pretty rare that anything would happen. When it did, it was minor and everyone forgot in a week. And yeah, it gets noticed when someone kills themselves. Not to turn this into a sexuality debate, but when you have teenagers coming out as gay, you're taking something adults can't even be civilized on and throwing it to children. It's not going to end well.
