I have not played many new releases this year, so my list is a little stale.

after the shitstorm that the ending produced, i thought i was going to be the only one to put mass effect 3 as my favorite game of the year. in fact, i agree with your whole list except id replace dragons dogma with dark souls (it came out on pc this year, totally counts)

I have to consult the list...alright, lets try for an order this time!

1: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy - This is the absolute best reason to own a 3DS. It's a rhythm game with music from Final Fantasy through to 13-2 with a ton of great DLC tracks. It's easy to pick up and play and one of those games that somehow eats your time. Got this game on day one for full price, bought DLC and it was 100% worth every last cent.

2: Mass Effect 3 - I am that one person who waited until the Wii U release before I grabbed this. Kinda wish I had one of my other Shepards but I'm still having a ton of fun with this. I'm closing in on the end (YES I KNOW HOW IT ENDS) and while this isn't my favorite ME title, it does have some of the best character moments and set pieces in my opinion.

3: Silent Hill Downpour - This is the first Silent Hill I've really played. It wasn't scary but it was fun enough for me to go back to it and play through it a few times. I still need to do a hard difficulty run though.
