Now that E3 is over...

What is everybodies thoughts on it? What did you guys like? What is making you bud with intispation? What is making you completely "meh?" What confused the heck out of you? Who dominated? Who flopped? And who thought that the god of gaming struggling on stage was hilarious?

Thank god. In a week everyone will have forgotten and the Escapist can return to it's regularly scheduled programming.

I was hoping for The Elders scrolls V but I was left alone
but my heart was beating twice as fast as normal because of PoRtAL 2 =D

3ds and its lineup look very good. I was caring not at all about it, though now I'm probably going to pre-order one as soon I can. I was hoping for some cool looking new IP's, but the only one that really caught my eye was Journey by thatgamestudio {edit: Oh, and El Shaddai, very cool artsy looking game about Enoch and the angels, made by the guys from Okami and Viewtiful Joe. looking forward to that too } . -sequal-wise, Witcher 2 looks freakin' sweet.

However, I am very sad Bioware had nothing to show off. I read a rumor that DA2 and ME3 were going to be shown off, but alas I am left wondering.. :'(

My thoughts are now I can finally remove the filter from my RSS Reader, and get back to normal operation.

I like E3, I like video games. But the inundation of news compared to the few titles/systems I actually care about is a little tiring.

Being a geek, I would like to try out the (glasses-less) 3DS and see how it performs;
Halo:Reach looks really slick;
I find this whole 3d thing kind of pointless so much of what the major publishers had to say irrelevant;
Ditto for motion-based controllers;
The Nintendo games I saw didn't really thrill me;
Portal 2 will be the best thing since Portal... which was the best thing since sliced bread;
Although it'll still suck on the consoles;
The new 360 looks like a decent upgrade, but I'm not rushing out to buy one;
GT5 isn't actually going to be released;
Epic Mickey looks alot less epic than originally promised;
PlayStation Plus is a very confusing acronym when the PlayStation Portable is out on the market, although I don't think it will be much longer.

The whole thing was meh. The only real surprise I heard of and cared about was the 360 slim, and that was mainly because of the surprise that it would be out this week. It's not much help to those of us with a 360 already though.

Was hoping for more Diablo III information since it's probably the only game I'm looking forward to.

I just realised that I could count the number of games that weren't sequels/franchise-based/the return of the revenge of bla bla bla, on the hand of a Power-Puff Girl.
In summary it was all sequels, motion controls madness and Portal 2..... which is also a sequel.
