So this came out today, which was a nice surprise since i've been sorta depressed lately and anxious about how I did for one of my classes that ended last friday (no more college! :D). Anyway, what I am talking about is a smelly DLC patch for NTW (Napoleon: Total War) that brings a new campaign, the Peninsular War, to the game.

AKA, its a campaign where you can "liberate" Iberia as the British, wage guerilla warfare as the Spanish, or just kill everything you see that opposes you as Napoleonic France.

I tried the British first and quickly beat the campaign after about 2 1/2 hours (don't take this seriously, I was only playing on Medium to test it out and I completely charged through the game), but it was reasonably fun commanding a mix of British regulars and Spanish guerillas to make Napoleon's life miserable. Trying the French next, but that so far has been, aside from having to face alot of rebellions at the start, pretty similar to the normal campaign: i.e. shoot some rebels, then move on.

Obviously i've only messed with this for a few hours, but I like what I see so far. It's a smelly DLC, but considering how certain other games add less for higher costs in their own DLC's (I'm looking at you MW2!), i'd say that this is better than average and adds a nice little addition to an already fancy game. Besides, waging guerilla warfare is fun, even if it is a stuffy strategy game.

Anyway, has anyone else happened to grab this yet? Thoughts?
