Numerology can be concerned as a branch of astrology. From the moment you are born, you are allocated numbers that are important to you: your date of birth, passport number, house number, social security number, bank account number, and car license number, to name but a few. There are many Astrology Site [http://www.astrology-india.com/] which also offer u to tell your future as per the numbers related to your life.

Numerology is one of the oldest analytical techniques in the world, and can be traced back to the Babylonians. The ancient Egyptians had their own numerology system, with occult powers attributed to each number; they used numerology as a means of understanding human psychology.

Judaism holds what is probably the greatest key to the lore of numerology through the kabbalah, a secret mystical text containing the philosophical science of numbers. In the 13th century, scholars of the kabbalah developed the gematria, a method of interpreting the bible where by inferences were drawn from the numerical value of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Using this method, kabbalist scholars would search for hidden meanings in the text of the Old Testament.

People are entitled to believe whatever they want to. I don't believe numerology or astrology has any bearing on my life, but that doesn't mean I will say that you aren't welcome to believe that it does. It's just a matter of opinion.

I looked to the stars for guidance, once. The stars told me that astrology was rubbish and only morons and nitwits believe in it. Leo even told me that anybody who says they can see the future is either a retard or a charlatan. Possibly both.

I'm not sure what to make of that reading.

Advertisement, most likely. Damn Ad-bots. Mods need to lock this thread up now, like they did to the Couple's Retreat thread.

Oh well I'm glad I didn't waste time with my rant on Astrology, and Numerology.

I don't really see where you're going with this thread, I suppose this could be an ad. But in the interest of making something out of nothing, I will say that astrology is an interesting system which certainly appears to have some bearing on psychology and basic common life approaches to various situations in people. The kabbalah, meanwhile, I haven't delved into. It may be mere theology, as far as I know.

I love it when people who make it clear that they know nothing about a system claim to know its legitimacy. The irony is so powerful.

But then, irony can be defined as the thing people often miss, right?

It's an advert. Notice the link and the fact this guy only has one post? Don't worry. the mods will soon get rid of it...

For the record I'm actually interested slightly in numerology, mainly because I've always had an interest in the supernatural, occult, and in divination and the divining arts in general...

Astrology has never held any legitimacy for me due to:
A. The lack of a reasonable mechanism
and
B.That astrologers never seem to agree on how to cast a reading, or what different signs mean.
