Nvidia have just announced at CES 2013 plans to create a portable gaming console named Project Shield. The console, which resembles a 360 controller with a screen glued to it, will apparently primarily run Android. However, the more intriguing feature is the ability to link to any PC with a Nvidia card to play games installed on it, using the PC's likely-more powerful hardware to power the game.
In addition, despite the inbuild screen being set to a 720p resolution, the handheld will also have the ability to output 4k via a HDMI cable.
