Or you can take your punishment like a man and stop trying to weasel of dealing with the consequences. I will stand by this statement unless you prove what you did wasn't that bad.

OT: Depends on how good a computer your laptop is. If it's got Vista, then probably nothing will run.

For a low grade?? WTF?
(fastforward to 1:00 for the part that pertains to you)

Anyway, what sort of graphics card does the Laptop have? They usually don't even have one, so it's pretty important to know. You could tell us your Windows Experience Index score (the full list not just the "final" score).

Agreed. 3 months? Man, that is messed up. Go with online flash games until you pick up a visa/mastercard gift card as suggested above and get Left 4 dead, TF2 and the Halflife games. You can shun the consoles for a full 3 months now.

Hrm... okay, you want PC gameage, with no budget.

Okay, first and foremost, the internet itself will offer an endless array of ways to waste your time. just google 'flash games' and you will be amused for DAYS.

Secondly, try to torrent old games like Fallout, and Deus Ex. I'd recommend Diablo II and Half-Life, but both of the companies who developed those games are still in business, and my rule is that piracy is okay if the developer can no longer make money off the game anyway.

Well, maybe not Deus Ex...it'd be better to patronize Valve by buying it off of Steam, since they're good developers. Wait, that applies to Fallout too. DAMN, what old games does my personal ethics code allow me to steal!? Hm...

AH! League of Legends. The game is free to download and play (although the big box of extra goodies costs like $20), and if the last LAN I attended is any indication, it's quite good.

But besides all that, and you were probably told this already, but... low test scores are bad. they get progressively more important the longer you're in school, to the point that one truly sh***y score in a college course can lose you the whole course. You may be a gamer, but you should also be a student.

Ok I understand this which is why I forgive my dad even though his punishments are a bit severe.

Company of Heroes, Homeworld 2, Starcraft, etc.

Also, even though you said no FPS play System Shock 2, it's the best RPG-FPS I've ever played (it's a ***** to get to run on dual cores though, if you need help pm me).

....That's it? That's a bit extreme for one test. Well I hope you don't get caught then.

Well aside from all these great game suggestions, a sweet idea is to learn a programming language (Java,Eclipse,Turing,C,C++) and make some of your own stuff. I mean your proabably what like 16, its a great way to kill sometime and let out your creativity. Also grab the Unreal development kit. If you wanna make games that are awesome (chances are you wont make the next gears but its fun to mess around with)....btw your parents suck I got like a 35 in a course and my punishment was....well I didnt get one. That said Im full of 90's and 80's now.

Once I got an 70% on my 2nd term in English. Got grounded without TV, computer or consoles until I get an A on one English quiz. That was 25 days, which really wasn't that much.

And you should play Red Alert, really old, but suprisingly decent.
