I'm having a hard time seeing the tower of power motivator he is, I'm not saying he's bad but I just don't see why he's a god among mortals.
Well, he did question some of the policies of our chief oil suppliers and actually said something about Israel that wasn't "Israel are teh chosen lands," so that took some balls.
And we did have Bush for 8 years, that's gonna affect your outlook on things. And the racism and religion really was an obstacle, at least here in the deep south and bible belt.oliveira8 said:

I too find him to be a great orator, when he has a speech prepared. However I have seen him increasingly more often in talks and discussions, and answering questions, without a prepared speech or canned remark. I have to say I find his performance at those times somewhat lacking. He stumbles over his words, sometimes shakily trying to avoid the question in what is an obvious ploy to change the topic. I find the news clips tend to only take sound bites that make him look good. No sinister reason, the nation is still in love with the guy, it would make no sense for the media (which is pretty much solely for entertainment) to bash the guy.AvauntVanguard said:

That is simple stereotyping of the population of the US, shows your prejudice towards the US as well. I have traveled extensively and I have never run into the bible thumping, racist, gun carrying pile of hate some people seem to think makes up the entire US.
Basically I have seen so much hate directed at every group imaginable it makes we wonder sometimes how we can be so blind to the fact that we are all just people and need to get over ourselves.
At this point I like the guy just for sticking to his guns and being a Centrist. Considering both liberals and conservatives now complain about him constantly for not fixing their particular issue, you start to appreciate the fact that he's serious about being a neutral leader.
Speaking personally, I prefer my leaders to be impartial. Which means that nobody gets to clean house and no one particular side gets to win on everything. It's split right down the middle.

and i think the reason we as a younger generation think obama is amazing is because 8 years of bush, and before that Clinton, whose reputation was tarnished by accusations of adultery Obama looks alot better in comparison. And also because most people in their 20's and 30's ,which was the population that voted for Obama, don't remember how great Bush Sr. was to our nation. So overall in comparison to the last few years, not saying Clinton was a bad president, Obama is a diamond amongst turds. And his speech i would say not that compelling just, alot better than the previous presidents since id say the 40's. But so far he is doing great for a president, i fell in love with them when he legalized stem cell research.

He talks a lot. Actually his speeches are all prepared by advisors and not by him.. Still I would call him the talking president.
