I don't know how many of you have heard of this, but I thought I should share it. Start at about 7 minutes in, and it will continue for most of the program.

A reasonable question arises: Is this going to lead to the abuse of power to manipulate people, or is it really just a helping hand to assist people in making the right decisions? How far is too far? Automatically signing someone up for a 401k isn't likely to be a cause for concern, but where do you draw the line?

I think Obama is making a good move here. People aren't fully informed these days, and they need a push in the right direction. What worries me is, what will happen when someone else follows his example? Someone without the same good intentions?

Even if you have no opinion on the subject, this is something everyone should be aware of as it directly affects their lives.

I don't have the time to listen to all this. Got a link to a summary or willing to post a synopsis?

But just from what you said, I'm gonna have to say I'm probably against it. Solely on the principle that the government should have nothing to do with private lives.
