Oblivion: Jewelry?

I need to... procure... some jewelry, preferably embedded with gems of any kind, and i've already cleaned out Red Diamond Jewelers in the Imperial City.

Can anyone recommend some good places to steal jewels and gold other than this place? I require it for the Midas Spells mod D=

ALSO, can anyone tell me a good way to get 100% chameleon armor/status effect?

There's a quest in Bruma that nets you two unique jeweled (the jewels are HUGE) amulets, one red, one blue. They belong to someone called Arnora, though I can't remember what the quest entails.

If I remember well, almost every castle has a few display cases with jewelery in one of the more guarded rooms (or jewelery boxes in the private bedrooms). Good luck stealing, fellow thief!

Any palaces/castles/rich people rooms.

As for 100% chameleon stuff, enchant five pieces of gear (say, 2 rings, neck, cowl and robe) with 20% chameleon each.

Enjoy breaking the game though, you're basically invincible.

Go to Morrowind, there are some great bits of jewelery just over the border.

Just go to Cheydinhal and go east, you can't miss it.

Seriously, just use the dupe glitch, it's easy. If you don't know how: say you want 10 jewels, get 10 of one scroll and drop all jewels you have except one. Then, click twice on the scrolls, then drop the jewel. Voila, 10 jewels, and you can do that with any number of scrolls.

Get to level 20.

Go in Oblivion Gate.

Quick save right in front of Sigil Stone.

Grab Sigil Stone.

Load quicksave until you get 30% chameleon.

Enchant 5 pieces of clothing with chameleon and off you go.You can only get a 20% enchant at once.

My advice as well. The castles are rich pickings for jewellery, wines in some cases and even weapons. I even stopped questing and just started raiding castles for the loot they hold. It's worth taking the weapons even if you don't want them as they can grab a bit of gold from the fences.
