Oblivion keeps crashing when I attempt to load, save or sleep. Help? [Fixed]

While playing Oblivion on my PC (which can easily handle it, so that's not the problem), I was doing arena fights, staying in there most of the time when I tried to leave. As soon as the load screen finishes, it immediately goes black and says it is not responding. I reloaded and tried again, same result. I loaded a waaaay earlier save, went into the arena, left and I was fine. I went back on the new save, tried once more, crashed. I tried saving, which caused an immediate crash. I go back on, load the save that I'd just made and it said it was corrupted. When I tried to sleep, it immediately crashed. So I am confined to the arena bloodworks, the arena itself, no saves, no loads and no sleeping. I also used console, teleported somewhere (inside a building) and then left, crashing again. Is there something to fix this or will I have to load back to my last save, 3 hours ago?

Have you enable / disabled any mods since this begun? Some issues can arise from this, especially if you save / load alot and disable or enable mods frequently. Presumaby it's 'weye' you've tried tele'ing to, have you tried teleporting to another location first? (such as coc.testinghall...)

Also I'd advise, as above, that you run the Unofficial patch as a rule of thumb.

Outside of this, I'm afraid it's time to speedrun the Arena again.

I have not touched my mods recently. Also, I did not teleport to Weye, I went to the vampire testing area in the testing hall, mainly because that's the only port I have memorized... And I didn't think it through. So I crashed when i attempted to go to Havenhock or whatever it is from the testing hall.

EDIT: I've also never used the unofficial patch so I'll give that a try.

EDIT: Didn't work.

And now it fixed itself. I did try after the patch, didn't work, now it randomly does... Cool.

Oblivion is a really poorly optimized game. It doesn't matter what your requirements are, Oblivion follows its own rules!

Still, glad to hear you fixed it. If it starts up again, you may want to go to the official Oblivion forums, chances are that after 5 years they've dealt with everything this game has thrown at them, and should be able to help.
