"Go for their weak spots!"
"What weak spots?"
"Their weak spots are... uh... I forget."

Didn't we have some fun though? Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said 'Goodbye,' and you were like, 'No way,' Then I was all like 'We pretended we were going to murder you?'[sigh] That was great."

I am very certain that Portal is not obscure.

Character A: You look like you need a monkey.
Character B: Excuse me?
Character A: I have a very fine monkey for you. Only twenty dollars, American.
Character B: Sorry, I don't want a monkey.
Character A: What do you mean?
Character B: I don't want a monkey!
Character A: Why not?
Character B: Because I don't like monkeys, now get that filthy beast away from me!
Character A: Are you insulting my monkey?
Character B: I'm sure it's a perfectly excellent monkey, but I don't want it. Now please leave, I'm very busy.
Character A: Ten dollars.
Character B: No! I wouldn't want the dreadful thing even if it were free!
Character A: Free? You want my children to starve?
Character B: If they're hungry, I suggest you feed them the monkey.
Character A: This is a valuable monkey! My wife would kill me if she knew I was offering it to you so cheap.
Character B: You don't seem to understand, I DON'T WANT A MONKEY!
Character A: Infidel.
Kudos to anyone who gets that one.

Paraphrased because I can't remember the whole thing but...

"...and what's worse, we don't have basic cable! Uh, scratch that last one."

Ultima 5.
Actually no, I was just adding onto the Fallout 1 quote. There's a random encounter where you run into a bunch of Brahmin going "Moo. Moo I say." In the text box it says "You feel that something's not quite right."

Yea, practically no one's ever heard of it before. That and the same developer's preceding game, Giants: Citizen Kabuto are some of the funniest games ever made, but no one played them :(.

Character 1: Are you ready to look at the painting?
Character 2: It's nice work

"It's very nice, but it's more than just "nice" ... keep looking."

"What am I looking for?"

"What do you see?

"I see a guy hugging a girl"

"And?"

"They're probably boyfriend/girlfriend, and she's dumping him. He looks really depressed."

"Yes, yes - forget the story - what do you see?"

"I see an oil painting of two humans locked in an embrace"

"That's all you see? But there's so much more.. Look, look!"

"I see a statement on loss. The guy, he's hugging the girl, and by all rights, he should be happy. But he's not. He's probably already mourning the loss of her, even though that's still somewhere in his future."

"Statements? Who cares about statements? Tell me what you see!"

"I see art"

"Art, yes, and beyond that? Beyond art?"

"Truth?"

"Truth! Exactly! A deeper truth. This painting, this particular work of art, speaks a deeper truth. It has a soul."

"How can a painting have a soul?"

"It has a soul because it has an identity. It has a heart. The memory of this painting will survive beyond this moment. It will linger in your mind, become part of the tapestry of your subconscious. It has made a lasting impression on you, and you're not quite sure why."

"It's just a painting by some kid. It's not as if it was Picasso or a monet"

"Now you're arguing technique. Not every painting by Van Gogh or Michaelangelo is real art either - although they all demonstrate great technique and craftsmanship, and the scribbled drawing of a five-year old are rarely technically impressive, but they may still have a soul, they still may be real art."

"So you're saying real art is not defined by the skill of the artist? Then just what is real art if anybody can create something more "real" than artists who have spent their entire lives developing their skills?

"Art is still the work of artists, and skill, craftsmanship, technique - those are all critical to the success of an artist's work, but alone, those things are merely pretense. For something to be real, the artist must transfer - shift - a part of him or her self into the work, to transcend the illusion and reach for the truth of art."

"And what is the truth of art?"

"Who knows. I've been asking myself that question for years."

That's from "I'm not a real surgeon".

How about this one.

"Game over, man! Game over!"

This game was brutally hard! So I heard that line a few times...

Hint: The line in the game are stolen from a rather popular movie...

Woad Raiders.. That's from AOEII.. But I don't remember that quote.. Is it from the William Wallace campaign?

By the way, the best quote from that game is "Zeh bloed un La Hire's sueerd iz uelmoezt dreiy!" (The blood on La Hire's sword is almost dry.. He's French, and I don't know French so sorry if I misspelled something..)
