We all like to earn some indie cred, as well as force others to "experiance" our insufferably horrible taste in music, so now, the thread where you can do both! At the same time!

I'll start.

EDIT: Be sure to pretend to like others choices, it will make them feel special, and thus easier to kill.

Hellz to the yes, probobly one of my favorite songs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHTFmJk7fH0

So calm, serene, and all that jazz. It, surprisingly, is also really helpful when I get a headache, soothes me!
Enjoy.

Quick edit. Firstly, how do I embed videos >:?
Secondly, the Icelandic version of the song is -far- better. In my opinion.

No metal hear, one electronic opera singer, one orchestra and one Irish indie man...

It's like sex but with your ears. But it's totally consensual. Yes.

So obscure music as in stuff most people probably haven't heard? Ok...

Love this song so much. I recorded a poor version for the escapist jam session thread.
This guy is amazing.
The theme to my favourite series.

Feel free to point out to me how to do spoilers.

Maybe more unheard of than obscure but I still think it fits here.
One of the most calming and chilled out songs I've ever heard, the bass alone carries you through the song.

And here is a a pretty obscure electronica song.

Thumbs up for Jesu! I love that kind of sludgy-metal vibe. If anyone like that kind of music check out Intronaut or Isis.

Anywho, the group that would like people to check out is Ghostland Observatory. I have seen them live 3 time and they have always blown me away every single time. I highly recommend them!

If you like metal the song Brimstone Gate by a band called Naglfar is one of my favourites, has a bass solo at the start that rocks.

Trip Like I Do - Crystal Method.

The original is great. Don't listen to that crappy version with Filter. That one's terrible. You won't find it on YouTube, trust me.

That took a bit longer than I thought it would.
Dude it sounds like they're playing Iggy's Passenger in a slightly different way. Is it a cover? Link for comparison.

And my obscure contribution is the song Drug War by Good Clean Fun. So obscure, it's not on youtube.

And the Israeli black metal band Winterhorde:

Snowfall is my personal favorite of theirs, I find it epic.

<spoiler=For any groove metal fans out there><youtube=WT_BPQ-GxeM>

And I can't think of the guy's name, but he's part of a jazz quartet or quintet, and they play one of his albums at the bookstore I work at. Stuff's amazing to listen to if you're a brass or sax player.

I want to say his name is something Joseph. Tony Joseph? Feel free to chime in if you know who I'm talking about.

As I always do, I give you Mr Bungle.

And also some Squarepusher. He plays all the instruments in his music
