White Ninja comics. They are very... Bizzare. Very plain, childish in many ways.

My favorite web comics by a country mile are VG Cats.

He's a doctor. He's a ninja. Healing and Killing conflict and the outcome is hilarious.

Part of that may be from the site.

If you don't read The Adventures of Dr. McNinja, you are wrong.
Great you beat me to it.
McNinja'd indeed...

But if mindful cynicism and a general distaste for the human species is more your cup of tea, then might I suggest Rock, Paper, Cynic. I feel that one of my favorites best encapsulates the true macabre beauty of it for all to enjoy and cringe before:

Darths and Droids
Star wars as though its all a game of D&D, amazingly it actually makes more sense this way.

There's a handful of comics I read that other people have seemingly never heard of.

[link]http://threepanelsoul.com/[/link]
Three Panel Soul
Anyone familiar with MacHall will already know about this one.

[link]http://www.daniellecorsetto.com/gws.html[/link]
Girls with Slingshots Actually pretty funny.

[link]http://www.robandelliot.cycomics.com/index.php[/link]
Rob and Elliot
They don't update very often, but their back catalogue is funny enough to stave off the bordeom of waiting for them.

[link]http://www.abominable.cc/[/link]
The Abominable Charles Christopher
A story about talking animals and a sasquatch.
Incredibly detailed illustration.

[link]http://www.johnnywander.com/[/link]
Johnny Wander
A comic handled by the script writer for AppleGeeeks and his girlfriend. VERY funny in my opinion.

[link]http://www.collectedcurios.com/sequentialart.php[/link]
Sequential Art Handled by a one, JollyJack Who used to work as an artist for Rare.

Those are the ones I could find in my bookmarks that I didn't see listed.

Shameless plug: I also upload my own comics to these forums, They're in the art thread or here: [link]http://Teh-g-man.deviantart.com[/link]

I enjoy Slackerz every now and then. And Awkward Zombie, although the author is busy with college now. Pff.

But my favorite webcomics ever are toothpastefordinner.com and affiliated webcomics. Hilarious, and updated every day.

Probably none of these are obscure, but whatever.

I personally like A Softer World, [http://asofterworld.com/] Pictures for Sad Children, [http://picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=1] and Space Tree. [http://spacetree.keenspot.com/] Well, technically Space Tree is more of an internet show but it is still good.

http://www.TruckBearingKibble.com has some really good stuff, but the guy doesn't update anymore, so I guess that is a moot point

Awkward Zombie is the only one I haven't seen mentioned that I read. Lots of fun game referances written by a pretty damn funny girl. Also her Mythbuster animation short is nothing short of genius. I reccommend checking out her animations section too.

I am entirely shocked that the following have not been mentioned as of yet!

Sinfest [http://www.sinfest.net/]

A somewhat irreverent, amusing, and occasionally heartwarming comic which primarily follows a wanna-be "pimp" who has sold his soul to the devil. Warning: Includes rather blatant expressions of the author's political opinions, though generally not in an unpleasant or rude manner.

Keychain of Creation [http://keychain.patternspider.net/]

A stick figure(-ish) comic set in the Exalted universe, not entirely dissimilar to Order of the Stick. Funnier if you understand the setting that it occurs in, however.

Digger [http://www.diggercomic.com/]

The tale of a militantly practical wombat who gets lost in a land far from her warren. Not a "furry" comic, per se, but involves talking animals (as well as the statue of a god, actual gods, living shadows and so on).

My friend introduced me to Questionable Content a few months ago for something to do at work while I mess about. I tore through it in a matter or a week or two (lots of comics dear god).

It went from meh, childish male fantasy (One of the main characters was this dude who was constantly being hit on by a hot goth chick and had a sorta possible thing with this other indie chick gag me with a spoon) with ...okay artwork, to a pretty witty comic with much better artwork at some point. At this point I REALLY enjoy it! Characters became more real, they stopped namedropping obscure bands to sound cool, it just all around got really good. It's nice to see someone develop their craft so much. Granted, he had like ten years

I'd recommend a few comics. Wapsi Square (wapsisquare.com) is another one that started off fairly meh, again with bad artwork, sort of a slice of life story about a single girl working and dating and hanging out with friends....to some weird fucking fantasy-scifi tale about these folks needing to reset this ancient clock that if not reset will reset time a few thousand years in the year 2012 (and this has apparently happened already twelve times). One character is immortal and is aware of it all, her consciousness is not reset, and every time this happens she has to bide her time for thousands of years.....crazy stuff. A couple of other characters are aspects of a chimera made human, and the main character has a group of inner demons who actually manifest and want to get out of her body... did I mention that there's another character who's body died, and now she's actually all of her inner demons inhabiting her body who got together and decided to open up a coffee shop? No I didn't mention that? Or that she's actually a real sweety? Seriously. Fucking straaaange.

And then there's Sin Titulo (www.sintitulo.txcomics.com), which I can't really describe. Think sepia toned David Lynch, if it's got one problem the artist/writer doesn't update this nearly enough (last update was oh god like early fall, and it ended on SUCH A CLIFFHANGER). Sort of surreal noir. Yes. That's how I'd describe it.

Finally, Kukuburi (www.kukuburi.txcomics.com) is just really trippy actiony...thing...feels like Yellow Submarine on speed?
