I remember palying a game a couple of years back called 'ObsCure' (Or at least that's what the style the title was wrote in told me).
I still have an old copy. It's really scatched, it still works however.
To start off with, I played the game about 4 years back, so I can't remember much besides the Ear-Splittingly terrible voice-acting the and intense Silent-Hill-Esque boss-battle.
So I start the game up again and I got back into that good ol' groove, Dealing with the frustratin' combat.
After beating the game (Again) I started to recap everything that had happened, and what led to me doing what I did.
The start of the game has the running through poorly-lit corridors looking for a form of defence whilst being chased by monsters that make Barney the Dinosaur look like Hitler.
I then met someone who's name is never addresed in gameplay/Cutscenes but in the Equip Screen is reffered to as 'Steve.'
After having Steve join your party you then try to storm back out of the hole in the ground where you heard strange noises from where you find even more monsters that make Barney the Dinosaur look threatening.
This is a supposed to lose fight.
After continuing the plot I had swapped to the view of Josh, the Tritanogist, along with Duetagonist Tracy and Portagonist Shannon.
And from that point onwards the game is basically Silent Hill for retards.
I found the game fun, if not unchallenging.
The only hard part was when the game glitched and when I finnally spent about 2 hours destroying a giant tentacle monster, did the game decide to go like : "Hey! You just wasted hours of your life running back and forth sitting in a corner shooting a giant monster constantly having to revive your idiot Ai-Partner! You didn't win it properly!" And I had to reload my save and do it over again.
Other than the whole Terrible voice acting, and having Silent Hill having terrible gameplay except without good voice-acting, and with a plot that makes me wanna bleed acid, I reccomend picking it up.
It's had a sequel for the PSP and Wii, and a Wii Exclusive Add-On to the second game.
I wont call it 'Scary,' But that's what the Wii Spin off is for.
