Oculus Rift Creator: "Consoles Are Too Limited For What we Want to do"

Somehow I knew this would happen and it wouldn't surprise me at all seeing as how the Rift started on PC I can see those guys not even wanting to bother with consoles, at least they came out and said it.

However I'd also expect Sony and MS to come up with their own devices and as we now know the Rift is not ever coming to consoles (thanks to the article pointing that out) so all that's truly left for choice is what MS and Sony give you and you'll just have to accept that (can't really do comparisons since the rift is never coming to consoles which would become apples and oranges).

But hey I can still see it now when Sony and MS invent their own brand people here will always call it shit regardless because the Rift was first.

Actually, the Virtual Boy came first. Yet I don't see anyone claiming the Rift is shit because the VB exists.

BUT PC GAMING IS DEAD!

Seriously though, this doesn't surprise me one bit. I recall similar reactions when it was found that the Kinect had a lot more practical and expansive applications on PCs than on the platform it started on.

Oculus Rift is on PC. Steam box is a PC.

PS4 is a PC. XBone is a PC. =)

They use PC hardware, yes, but the are not personal computers.

Just because it walks like a duck, doesn't necessarily make it a duck. I know I'm arguing semantics here, but still.
