I just found this article that claims that Andrew Scott Reisse was killed in a car accident.

I haven't heard a word about this on any other site so thought I'd drop it here. We were moving forward. They were baby steps but we were heading towards VR. It probably isn't going to halt production of the Rift altogether but I'm sure this will cause major setbacks on it without their lead engineer.
It's this kind of thing that makes me mad. It could have been avoided, it wasn't something like a heart attack or cancer. This could happen to anyone at any time.
