I have this very weird memory from when I was about 5. Basically, in my head I was given a choice of what kind of person I wanted to be. It was clear that once this decision was made, it couldn't be undone. Does anyone else remember having a similar experience? I watched an interview with Bjork and she described something very similar. I'm curious to know how common it is.

I think that means you're an alien child like those from "Escape to Witch Mountain".
OT: No but I had something somewhat similar (I guess), where I dreamed I was told I was God and needed to wait for something.

Yes, I do remember such an experience.

I was in this vault, and I was asked to take this so called "GOAT" test..........

I remember that. I left my vault and I was asked if there were any memories I was unhappy with and wanted to change. That was pretty weird.

Back to the toupic though: Nope, never heard of something like that. But then again my earliest memories are music and games.

I somehow knew this was going to turn into a fallout 3 thread. You've become predictable, escapists! :p

You probably have some sort of trauma-induced repression/replacement.

Did the Overseer try to give you candy?
He gave me a lead pipe to the face. I was traumatized.

Yes I did, I wanted to be a paleontologist but after a while I realised that no matter how much I wanted it to happen it was never going to happen.

Actually I was asked if I wanted to keep my feelings... it was an imperfect removal so I have scraps left behind. If any of you know who this voice is could you tell me so I can sue him?

Nope. It would probably have helped. Wouldn't be shuffling around in circles right now. Figuratively speaking, of course.

"And what about you son, what kind of person are you going to be?"
I heard that once. Right after that my mother died and I was left with a runaway father (with an awesome voice) and a scientist that I quite franckly wanted to kill, even after those other threehundred times.
