Oddworld: New'N'Tasty

So we have a trailer and release date for New'N'Tasty finally! I dunno about you guys, but I'm really excited.

Regardless of what beefs you may have with past Oddworld games or with Lanning, it looks like this is gonna be a genuine Oddworld game.

I only bought Abe's Oddysee the other day on GoG, forgot how fun it was, That new art style looks amazing but it sounds like they've taken out some of the classic sounds that made it so great. I don't have a Vita but it still looks cool.

It's on PS3/PS4/Vita with a release coming for PC eventually. I don't know if it will ever be on 360/Xbone. Last I heard Lanning and JAW were having issues dealing with Microsoft.

I know it's a remake. It's called "Oddworld: New'N'Tasty" not "Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssey" this time around though.

It's not just a new coat of paint though. Apparently since the screen now scrolls instead of transistions they had to tweak a lot of the puzzles. In the original you could take advantage of the screen transistions to bypass sligs and whatnot. That's gone now.

OT: Abe's Oddysee made me the gamer I am today, so my expections are high. From what I've seen though it looks fenomenal, and I'm glad they gave back Abe's second finger. Still kind of a shame though that he longer has his more innocent sounding voice from the original.

Just as surprised as everyone else they're still operating. Good to know, Oddworld combined just the right mix of funny, silly, depressing, and creepy into their setting.

I'm hyped as fuck for this. Abe's Exoddus was the first game I ever owned and it's still one of my favourites today.
I'm not that big a fan of Oddysee, but hell, it's another sidescrolling Oddworld game, so I'm buying the living shit out of this regardless.

Same here, when I got my first PlayStation for Christmas from my parents they also got Abe's odyssey and V-Rally, both games I still have in new condition along side all my other PSX games. I will definitely grab this for PS4 on release day.
