I'm only going to count the movies I've seen that came out this year(Time's been running together for me the last couple of years, so I don't remember what I've watched when), so X-Men: First Class for me.

Even though Captain America, Thor and Planet of the Apes were AWESOME, Kung Fu Panda 2 was my fav.(I rarely go to movie theatres, let alone watch movies)

Captain America. Star Spangled Man (with a Plan) has been stuck in my head endlessly since I saw it and for once I don't mind.

Zookeeper. Definitely a strong contender for Best Picture. A defining moment in the career of... Kevin James...
Yikes, that hurt.
Now, in all seriousness... Damn, that's a tough one. Like so many others on this website, there are the given superhero movies (Thor, Captain America, X-Men: First Class, all of which were awesome), but Rise of the Planet of the Apes caught me more off-guard than any other movie that comes immediately to mind. I'm really looking forward to seeing it again when it comes out on DVD. Might even buy it if I like it as much as I remember.

A Nightmare On Elm Street.

What? Nowhere does it say it had to be released this year. :p

Also, The Elm-Chanted Forest.

I don't know OP. I've seen classics like The Thing and awesome comic-book films like Captain America. Not to mention an awesome finale for Harry Potter too.

Drive. Ryan Gosling stole my heart the moment he walked on screen and i lost myself in his beautiful, blue eyes.

Captain America. It was a shock how good it was but after Ironman and Thor I shouldnt have been surprized.
I loved Hugo Weaving as The Red Skull he made a great villian. X-men first class also was pretty good but I still prefer Captain America.

I thoroughly enjoyed Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I haven't seen any super'ero fillums this year, so should probably rectify that. I watched [Rec] recently, which was darn good horror fare. My memory of films is so poor, however, that I've had to start a Tumblr which reviews all the films I've seen, just so I can remind myself that I've actually seen them.

Lately i did a little "di Caprio" marathon.
I saw (in no particular order :
- Shutter Island
- Inception
- this movie with young Leo, i don't remember its title... He went with some French chick and her boyfriend on some island somewhere near Thailand, where everyone was smoking drugs and stuff.
- Aviator
- Bloody Diamond

All i can say is that i was very surprised with marvelous performance of this guy. In my opinion he is like a good wine - the older, the better.

Also :
Insidious - crap, medium with gas mask is splendid though
Ong Bak 3 - crap, talking severed head ? Gimme a break
Dylan Dog - crap, i don't understand what it has to do with Dylan Dog at all
Iron Man 2 - good, but only thanks to Robert Downey Jr
The Rite - ditto / Anthony Hopkins
Ultramarines - i'd appraise everything that's part of WH40k franchise. ;)
