The best movie I've seen was Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, very well made.
But my favourite is Drive, I cannot say a bad thing about the film.

Here's what I think was great:

Rio
The green mile
Super 8
Contagion
Pirates of the Caribean 4
Megamind

If I had to pick one it'd be a tie between rio and the green mile

Honestly, the one that instantly jumped to mind was The Three Musketeers. So much fun.

Also jumping out at me are Captain America, Thor, Harry Potter 8, and Kung Fu Panda 2. Not been to many artsy films this year (despite wanting to see Super 8 so bad...)

Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'hoole

Why? well, I'll put it this way, it's like Avatar, only it's about Owls, and has (in my opinion) a much better story.

I'll go as far to say it's on my list of mvoies I want to own.

As of right now it's X-Men First Class or Captan America. My opinion may change again once I had watched Sherlock Holmes 2 this Christmas.

The Lion King. Oh wait, I mean X-men First Class. Maybe Toy Story 3. No, I mean Captain America, crap, maybe it was Thor. I saw too many good movies this year to decide from. Or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 (Hell, it was the only movie I saw in theaters twice).

But, if I must choose, I guess I'll pick X-men First Class.

Insidious - crap, medium with gas mask is splendid though
I never got why that movie was so hyped and give 4 or 5 star reviews. The start was good and then it turned into a retarded comedy half way through. Although i think they could make a horror comedy with the 2 ghost hunter guys. I liked them but they were so out of place in this movie.

Of movies that I've seen for the first time this year: Dr. Strangelove [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057012/], Dead Poets Society [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097165/] and maybe Ghost in the Shell [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113568/].

New releases: X-Men: First Class, Unknown, and Fast Five.

Harry Potter: It's finally over!
(Seriously it's the only film I've seen this year at the movies)

On DVD/Blu Ray? Paul that film made me realize how much of a sci-fi geek I am!

Favourite movies that came out this year:
Harry Potter
X-Men First Class!
Limitless

Of the movies that I saw this year for the first time: Being John Malkovich!
how they chose to go the way they did with that movie :D
I also liked:

- Hobo with a Shotgun ()
- Despicable me
- Swimming with Sharks (Kevin Spacey, favourite actor)
- Taxi Driver (Classic)

Worst movies I've seen were Blitz with Jason Statham, damn! And THE worst movie this year was Skyline, goddamnit! D: I saw it when I went to the sneak preview, bah.

- this movie with young Leo, i don't remember its title... He went with some French chick and her boyfriend on some island somewhere near Thailand, where everyone was smoking drugs and stuff.
The Beach?

It's a quite poor Danny Boyle/Alex Garland film. Not half as good as 28 Days Later. Boyle's biggest mistake was to use Leonardo DiCaprio instead of Ewan McGregor.

I actually had not seen any of the Bourne movies until this year. Sat down and watched the entire trilogy. Definitely gets my vote.

If we are talking about movies released this year then it's X-Men: First Class.

Weirdly the only movies I've seen this year have been comic book films. The best being Xmen: First Class and the worst being Green Lantern. All the Marvel films have been pretty awesome so far too, psyched for The Avengers now.

It's also a million times shitter than the book. And yeah, DiCaprio was not the guy for the job.

Captian America, x-Men First Class, Paul. They were all fairly ace this year but the one i liked the most was Battle Los Angeles, it was just a baddass action film, loved it.

(Also seeing the Lion King on the big screen is a personal highlight)

Megamind is one of the world's most underrated films.
That, alongside Suckerpunch and Hanna.

Honourable mention goes to Dawn of the Dead - the 3rd horror movie I have watched of my own volition, and probably the last because the very mention of zombies turns me into a snivelling mess on the floor.
