Official crossovers that confuse you

There have been many official crossovers between material in the past, even more unofficial ones and orders of magnitude more in fan fiction.

But the official ones can, while often due to one source being a spin-off of the other, fit well, sometimes it's just confusing as to why it was done. So what are official crossovers that confuse you. note: try to limit it to 1) crossovers that are officially canon, and 2) that it was actually made, no "Star Trek Enterprise/Doctor Who" just because it was planned.

For me it was the crossover between The Listener and Flashpoint. For those who don't know, The Listener is a show about an ambulance driver who can hear what people are thinking and use it to solve crime, while Flashpoint is a pretty solid drama about the Toronto Swat team. I just don't understand this one, while both shows are good the only thing they have in common are the setting (Toronto) and that both as shows that where made with export to the US in mind.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.

Seriously...what the ACTUAL fuck? That one blows my mind to this day. The game was pretty crappy, too. >.>

Archie meets the Punisher.

I'm not dissing the comic, but I have no idea who came up with it.

Eminem and the Punisher? Though confusion is an afterthought. It's mostly anger, disbelief, and laughter that come first.

Family Guy and The Simpsons... While The Simpsons isn't stellar it still manages the decent joke from time to time, and the signs are often killer funny. Family Guy on the other hand is a show that I can't fathom how anyone finds funny at all. It has a really low unfunny tone, terrible pacing, and no sense of timing. It's like a joke about jokes, and an unfunny one at that. How could Fox let the Family Guy turd tarnish the at least gleaming silver that is The Simpsons?

Well, Capcom and Marvel had their own "vs" series, so obviously the competitor of each had to team up for a crossover.

Star Trek/X-Men. While the X-men have gone into space on numerous occasions, a crossover with Star Trek just didn't fit. Yet they did it twice!

Superman meets the Quik Bunny: First: WHAT?!! Second: THE!!! Third: FUCK?!!!

Family Guy and the Simpsons. They don't even exist in the same universe, so how could that work?! At least the Futurama crossover makes a bit more sense... sort of. I guess it's meant to be a sort of "what if", but still...

Yeah, but MvC is actually...you know...GOOD. :p

MK vs DC is DC crossed with a very specific game while MvC is multiple IP's from both the named companies. Plus MvC is just a straight-up fighter, can't really be considered "canon". DC vs MK, though, seems like it actually was trying to be canon what with the story behind it and all.

Didn't the Avengers cross-over with Phineas and Ferb?
I'm actually somewhat interested in watching this now.

OT: Most obvious one here I guess, but I just don't get Alien versus Predator. Not that I didn't (ironically I assure you) like the first one, but it's more of an Alien film than a Predator film, meaning that most of the crap is taken up by the Humans we don't care about. Can we honestly say the Predator even had a major presence in that film?

Yes I know there have been so many games on it, but without looking at their plots I'm assuming that they're a mostly gameplay based affair.

Here's a fun one for you from the anime corner.

The Skull Man, a dark and mysterious manga/anime regarding a small town plagued by a supernatural mask man that hunts down and kills others...is part of - in fact, a prelude to - Cyborg 009.

This confused the hell out of me, at first, until I learned why. At least two people working on the manga and anime DIED before they could complete the work. Pretty freaky stuff. However, the make-sense part comes in that it eventually landed in the laps of people responsible for the latter anime, who changed the tempo for the finale of the series to involve an organization that utilizes cybernetic beings as a counter to this supernatural vigilante. It's a very weird shift.

You saying that has reminded me that this is a thing that genuinely happened.

I mean, I'm not saying it isn't awesome in its own way, but just... what the fuck?
