...And I thought Sons of Guns on the Discovery Channel was a waste of airtime. TV is getting LAZY these days.

I generally do not watch television. So I was blissfully unaware that even the moderately reliable Discovery Channel has gone the way of the H. (the History Channel) In other news, I hear that major networks are turning their backs on 'police procedurals' - which I did like, though they were as much as half crap anyway.

So I'm reasonably close to agreeing with other posters. Humankind is doomed. Our leaders are generally selected from a notoriously power-hungry and truth-less species called Homo Politicus, people who vote for them fill their brains with the most worthless of all possible crap on television, and they have not the slightest interest in separating fact from fiction on their way to the polls.

Honestly, I haven't seen a single frame of Jersey Shore (and I don't really plan to as I don't like reality shows in general, even in the "so bad it's good" sense, I haven't really watched TV in over 3 years either),so this "news" doesn't mean shit to me.
Seriously, the only way I know of it is because people are constantly advertising it by saying how bad it is. Why do you care about it so much if you claim to hate it? It's not like it's a threat or anything.

Is this some kind of payback for America adapting and ruining our TV shows? Some kind of karmic balance, to say "now you know how it feels America!" I can see no other reason for this to exist.
