Debut gameplay trailer is up.

My, it looks glorious. Can't wait to see how combat looks, and also how the horse riding will feel. Think I'll be having to build myself a proper gaming PC to experience this.

Geralts new outfit looks kinda dumb, but that aside the game looks amazing so far. Definitely something I'm looking forward to!

Yeah I agree, hoping this is just an early version and they will change it for the final release.

But it looks awesome. Hopefully it will be big on modding too.

It probably will, Geralt looked like an idiot in the very early Witcher 2 stuff as well yet in the full game his armour looked great. Realistic and practical yet also fantastical and stylish. I just assume at this point in development the developers haven't gotten around to Geralt's wardrobe yet considering we only ever see that one model in the entire trailer.

It's a good trailer, but it doesn't tell us much about the game. Those towns look lively, with lots more atmosphere than equivalents in, say, Dragon's Dogma or Skyrim.

The brief clip of combat seemed to promise pretty fluid and dynamic combat. I'd like to see more to confirm that, though.

Snake? Is that you? :D

I have Witcher 1&2 on my PC, I have yet to complete them.

I should probably get around to that.

I can't wait for that game. I fully expect it to become my favorite game of all times.

I just started with the first three Witcher books, so I have read them all untill 2014.

Well, I'm hyped.
I hated TW1 and thought TW2 was above-average to actually pretty good and this looks real fuckin' cool.
Let's just hope they figured out how to do boss battles this time.

Also I really love how they got Geralt's VA to do the "Project not yet rated" thing.

Looks like they're mixing things up a bit more for the fantasy creatures as well.

Color me excited.

Combat was absolutely terrible in Witcher 2. I am praying that combat becomes Dark Souls tier.

Combat was much fluid in The Witcher 2 than in Dark Souls. Especially regarding bombs and magic, and the throwing weapons were really cool too. Going Dark Souls style would be a step backwards in my opinion.

Sorry bro, all I remember doing was casting Quen (the shield) and rolling around like a nutcase 95% of the time I was fighting. Not to mention it took like 500 slashes to kill a human... u wot m8.

Combat, IMO, is not The Witchers strong point at all.

You must've played it before the combat got fixed. Quen got nerfed and a lot of changes came in in the Enhanced Edition.

I personally though the combat was a lot better than in Dark Souls, at least for the style of combat Geralt is supposed to do. He's a superhuman mutant so he is supposed to be lightning quick and roll around loads, evading his enemies and taking them down. The slow motion bullet time for aiming and throwing bombs and knives were great, and the magic system was well above the clumsiness that was in Dark Souls.
