The Darkness! I found it for $10, and I remember wanting it back when all I had was a PS2. Instant purchase!

Oh, and King Kong on Xbox 360, been looking for it for absolutely ever.

One that I found that I was looking for: The Legend of Dragoon. Got it for $10 and holy crap it's one of the best PS1 RPGs ever.
One I found that I wasn't looking for but wanted to get: Vagrant Story. A complex and difficult RPG with a deep, dark story. It may very well be Square's true masterpiece on the PS1.

I got Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for three bucks, I was looking for an old school Tony Hawk game and that was perfect.

I later bought Skate 2 and enjoy that much more, but THPS4 was still a great deal for three bucks.

Tak and the Power of Juju, 10$. Say what you like, I love that trilogy. It's the only series I know that tries to be funny and very much succeeds.

I LOOOVE that game, when I was really young I had a demo of it on the PS2 from one of those old magazines, 4 years later I found the actual game, LOVED IT

for some reason I enjoyed spamming those grenades that made all the enemies allies and the tether rope thing that let you could become them, guns? nah ROBOT MINIONS!

also, those giant floating tentacled things gave me the creeps, could never get control of the bloody things

Once, in my youth i played a game, a little RTS whose name was American conquest. For years i hunted in vain for that game with only the torn manual to aid me. One day i found it in a bin, and installed it on my computer. Only to find it dosen't work on windows 7.

Lucky i got my old desktop dinosuar in the basement =P

Finding my copy of PlaneScape: Torment underneath several old textbooks led to a few sleepless nights this summer. Though PS:T hasn't been forgotten, really.

Temple of Elemental Evil. Saw it when it first came out (2003) at EB games when I had no cash on me, and when I came back it was gone. despite looking for it nearly everywhere I went as well as trying amazon (there were shipping issues apparently, that I don't quite understand), I only saw it at Zellers recently for the first time in seven years, sitting in bargain bin amongst Bejeweled clones, and for eight dollars no less! However, it could not have been more than a week after my purchase ( and I'm quite pleased with it as well, I must say) that it was released on GOG!

-_-

I could have bought it there and saved myself the trouble of disc swapping.

I'm reminded of the time I found Twin Snakes for my fiancee at Gamestop for $25. He practically exploded and brought it immediately. Then he attacked me with kisses. :)

EDIT: Now that I think back on it, I asked my dad to buy me Prince of Persia: Sands of Time just because I liked the box art. Little did I know it would become my favorite game EVER...

Big Sky Trooper! My dad rented it for me when I was 4 years old and I was never able to remember its name! Then one day, about a year ago, I was scrolling through some dudes list of SF videogames and he mentioned it. I read the title aloud and was like "Wow, if that isn't dumb sounding..." Lo and behold, I checked out videos and was instantly reminded of my long-spent youth. I went and downloaded it right away and boy was it sw33t. :)

Behind Good and Evil for $15 bucks and Metroid Prime for $4 ^_^

I was quite ecstatic

I'm never selling my Gamecube again
I still haven't found Beyond Good and Evil. I am most envious. :p

OT: I may as well jump on the Timesplitters 2 bandwagon before it gets too full, really is an awesome game, and Duckman Drake is still my favourite character of all. ^_^

Beyond good & evil @ 5$ on gamersgate :)

While I haven't actually bought either of these games (nor do I really intend to; don't have a PSX), I recently found the name for both of these games on a spur of the moment nostalgia-hunt:

Losing that cute pink dragon sent me to tears more than once, in my childhood :)

Command and conquer: Tiberian Sun,

Loved it so much, then my mate whose computer i used to play it occasionally left town and i could never find a copy anywhere. 7 years on i stumbled across a copy at a random garage sale down the street. Picked it up for $4!!

Almost 6 years ago, I had been looking for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, as well as its sequels. Sadly, that wasn't really going that well where I lived.

Then that summer, my family and I went to Wildwood for vacation. There was a gamestop there, and I wasn't really expecting anything.

Low and behold, this gamestop had not 1, but 6 copies of the game! Bought it up real quick, then managed to find the other games in my area sometime later/or for Christmas.

That was a real good summer.

War of the Monsters on PS2. God I LOVED that game. I rented it a few months ago to re play after not having a PS2 for about 5 years and it was AMAZING!!!
