Oh no! I think I just ruined my Dark Souls save!

So I was playing my favorite Dark Souls character today on a NG+ and for this play through I decided to strip my toon naked and have him wield only a completely unupgraded battle axe and try to kill everything in the game with melee combat because I decided that he had given up on life and had decided to become a Trollslayer.

All was going fine until I killed Seath and Seath's breathe killed me simultaneously. Unfortunately Seath died, the bonfire appeared, and I did not get his soul.

I was like 'shiiiiiit' because I don't think I can finish the game now, as I am unable to kindle the lordvessel bonfire all the way now and open the final zone.

Is there someway I can still complete the run that anyone knows about? I am playing it on the ps3.

Wow I gotta say, this is beyond me. Never had that happen to be before. Ya say it is new game plus so you had to of been fighting him in the crystal zone and not in the duke's archives. Are you certain you didn't get it? Did you check your inventory and check both locations of the duke's archives and crystal cavern?

Did you try going back to his spot after a loading screen ? Sometimes, the loot will be where the mob last standed... then again, you're supposed to receive the soul automaticaly so I don't know if it will work.

Yep, tryed all the standard things. I am pretty sure the soul is gone at this point, I'm just wondering if there is a way to continue with this toon I love or if he is just locked into the playthrough permanently.
