You were fiddling around with your internet connection again, and suddenly your computer goes ballistic. It fires out electricity, and finally stops.

You turn on your computer and find that all the characters of your favorite game have gained intelligence!

What game would it be,and what would happen next?

I'd pick my Warhammer 40k games, as a collective. Think of what those guys have to teach us.

Everything. It'd be like Doomsday Arcade, but with me in the lead role instead of Lund and Shanks :)

You mean non-repetitive speech intelligence or Sentient intelligence?
Ah...

Sentient.

I wonder what would happen if Spam Bots become Sentient.

As in,they would jump out in the real world?

In ideal conditions it would be my PS2 - which i haven't yet hooked up properly to TV - not comp. Say hello to sentient robots, enormous megacorporations, casual interstellar travel, absurdly powerful guns, and one 150-centimeter tall mechanical genius covered in yellow fur.
All hail Ratchet and Clank!

But as far as my computer library is concerned,it would be Team Fortress 2 instead - which would be just as awesome. Nine quirky characters instead of just two leads, outdated yet superior technology... yeah. Different setting, same level of awesomeness.

And god help the people whose favourite game is Dawn of War. [HEADING=2]BECAUSE IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE...[/HEADING] ...well,you know the drill.

If they wouldn't leave the boundaries of screen, but could adress me... well. It wouldn't be as awesome, but i could still get detailed schematics for, say,Engineer's constructions. Which would be very, very useful in real life.

Right now, it would be Monkey Island, and I wonder if they would still continue to drink their grog, knowing what is in it.

He never said that they entered the real world, just that they were intelligent.

That wouldn't be very interesting for me. I have no games installed on my computer. Not one =[

If it applied to Xbox too, then I'd probably ask Altair to train me to kick significant amounts of posterior.

I would get the TechPriests to teach me a lot of awesome stuff.
Same for the Space Marines.

Hmm... if it's pc, a horde of Seleucid Silver Shield Pikemen will march out and kill everyone horribly. Rome: Total War rules.

My favorite games don't really have characters.
Unless the arrows start making a smiley face and talking to me as I play Delirium. Then I might be on acid.

Uh, I don't know. I hate every game I play in one way or another, so my Big Rig would actually not drive through walls?

All of this is full of correct statements
