All right, how about the Punchmaster, created by Seanbaby in Cracked.com's Man Comics... suck it! Didn't get it the first time. Let's see how long it takes...

Ha! NO ONE GUESSES THE PUNCHMASTER!!!!
Fixed that for you. Brockway does the Drug-Fuelled Misadventure series.
Ah. I had it narrowed down to those two. After I posted I had a sneaking suspicion I was wrong. I will remember, though. Anyone who is enough of a comedic genius to come up with Man Comics deserves for his creation to be attributed to him.

Holy Shit.

How... how did it do that? I guessed Lightning from FFXIII and it got it right. Same again when i guessed Alistair from Dragon Age: Origins.

It didn't get Kato from Shadow Hearts or Vinzer Deling from Final Fantasy VIII or Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot, though he was in the databse.

He did get Mephisto and Duriel from Diablo 2 and Alexei Stukov from Starcraft.

What the!!!

I was thinking about Rand al'Thor, from "Wheel of Time". He got it wrong in the end and guessed Achilles, but question 16 was "Is he a character from "Wheel of Time". How the hell does something like that happen..?

I went with Tycho Brahe, a 15th century astronomer, famous as a scientist for his measurements of the celestial bodies on our solar system. Without his work we would never have known how planets move.

The penultimate question was, "does he have pointy ears?"

It already knew he was a real human scientist, how the fuck could he have pointy ears!?

More importantly: how the fuck does him not having pointy ears mean it was Tycho!!!!?!??!?!?!
When it knows which character it is, it seems to just ask some random questions.

I really had it confused with Dren for a while (at one point it asked me the same question twice in a row), but it figured it out after I said she had no hair.

Has correctly guessed:

-Laharl (Disgaea Ds)

-Jack Marston (RDR)

-Naota (FLCL)

-Clare (Claymore)

-Bullet Bill (Mario)

-Captain Price (CoD)

-Ray William Johnson (=3)

-Gary Oak (Pokemon)

-Haruhara Haruko (FLCL)

Stumped by:

-Old Man Struttin' that ass (=3) Which isn't exactly fair, just a name made up by RWJ on the latest =3 episode >_<

Alright, I was going for Spiderman. It asked enough questions to narrow it down to superheroes, then it asked if the character was in Spiderman. What the hell.

Wow, it got Jesus Christ.
I did the same one awhile ago, but the weird thing was that the, like, 3rd question was "Is your character the son of god?" So I was like "ok, it's gonna guess it now", but it kep going for like 5 more questions! WTF?

First try, Bozo the Clown, it gave up after answering Jim Carrey, Joker and Cousin It.
And funny to see that most of you are so amazed by this mathematical "trick".
"20-questions" is an ancient game and highly accurate when asking the right questions.
I've made quite a few bucks at college with it.
It's shelved right next to my "1001 cold reading techniques" book.
And a computer has a much easier job combining all the possibilities and logically calculating the best questions compared to a human so worshipping a computer for the sake of logic... well i'm just gonna leave it there... *grins*

First one, Johnny Depp, he got that one.
Second one, Keira Knightley, he got that one too.
Third one, Haruno Sakura, he got that one too.
Fourth one, Kurosaki Ichigo, he got that one easily.
Fifth one, HOLY SHIT, HE GOT NYANKYOKU SAKURA! How the hell did he know that? I've never heard of someone who've heard about Penguin Musume Heart [SUB]She's the one in my new awesome avatar.[/SUB].. o_O
He didn't know Kujira Etorofu from the same anime though.

It just impressed the hell out of me..
First it guessed Emperor Uriel Septim (the seventh or whatever) from Oblivion, with easy, and then I tried with something as vague as "main character of Oblivion", answering "I don't know" to more than half of the questions (gender, race, hair etc.), and vaguely on the rest and it pulled out "Nerevarine, Morrowind" from it's glorious arse. Had to give it that one, damn impressive. :)
