Simple question;
Is the wii port of Okami worth the 30 euro price?

I've seen so much praise for this game, and I love it's art style. And I enjoy Zelda games a lot.
I am, how ever, not wealthy.

So I ask this very simple question.
Is this a title that I should own? And by that I mean, I like what I see in trailers and video reviews, will I be getting a great Asian styled adventure-zelda-ish game? Or will I be setting myself up for disappointment.

Also, totally off topic, but am I the only one who isn't a fan of the moving snow background here?
It kinda slows down the loading, a lot.

Yeah the Wii version is pretty good. You can't go wrong with either version though.

And yes it is a fantastic game, not exactly like a Zelda game but it is in the same genre.

And the snow was problematic last year, I think you can turn it off on your profile's forum options or something like that.

edit: yeah go to your profile, go to forum options and there is an option for if you like snow, change it to "I hate snow"

I played Okami on the PS2, so I don't know how different the Wii version is.

But yeah, the game is absolutely fantastic. Not only does it have some of the most creative and well used gameplay mechanics, it also has an epic and wonderfully funny story... Except for the end : >(

I recommend it fully. Okami is one of the best games in my opinion. Great characters, great story, great combat. Just great! xD

Yes it is very very good.I'm actually playing it right now(on the ps2) I'm near the end(or so it seems) and I've sank 68 hours in it until now(didn't even collect all the stuff),but the average is 40 I think,so yes it is a incredible game who totally deserves to be owned.
P.S.Yes it is an asian stile zelda.

Okami's good, speaking as a player of the PS2 version. It's basically a Zelda game that actually changes its theme substantially, and the theme permeates the whole game extraordinarily well. There are a number of bits to it that Zelda doesn't have (wandering monsters, a bit of leveling, a more elegant tool system than carrying around 10+ different items) so it's not a direct ripoff either.

From what I've heard of the Wii version, the controls in-combat were a bit screwy with the Wiimote, but the painting controls were well done.

And when you beat the game, check on Youtube for the original, excellent credit sequence. They couldn't use it in the Wii version because it had the original developer's logo on it.
