Steam has the wonderful feature they introduced not too long ago. It lets players buy a game once, and then have access to both the Mac and PC versions. It's been employed in most of Valve's first-party games, and tons of indie and AAA developers are taking to it as way of providing a more convenient point of sale to gamers who own both a Mac and a PC.

...well Activision is too good for that, right??

Recently released on Steam: Black Ops - Mac Edition. For only $50 (only $50? Awww!) you can get the same game that was released two years ago on all major platforms (even the Wii god help us all) on the Mac! ...hmmmm? What's that? You already own Black Ops on Windows? Bound to your Steam account cos it's a Steamworks game? ...well, that's okay! You can just buy it again! Just buy it again! For full price! Buy the game you already own on PC again on Mac for full pri-

GRRRRRRRR WHAT IN THE NAME OF FLIPPING FUCK IS ACTIVISION DOING EXACTLY??!!! They offer, on a platform that has a very key feature built in specifically to prevent such bullshit, the same game most people already have on PC... for Mac... at $50 charge. Two years after release. Now I'm not a fan of Call of Duty, but frankly, I'm surprised there are any left. Activision has proven consistently that they can ruin really great games with sordid business practices! The recent Transformers: Fall of Cybertron had a fantastic multiplayer mode - with a community that is being broken up over $10 cosmetic expansion packs. Every Call of Duty released comes with guaranteed year-long DLC pack releases, followed by the next installment of the game - making sure that if you purchase a Call of Duty game, you're locked into a contract - either pay for map packs that expire at the end of the year, or... you know, play all by yourself in a practice server I guess? ...it's fucking retarded.

And now I'm mad.

So I'm complaining here.

...discuss or whatever I don't care anymore

Yeah Activision is the only publisher I refuse to buy from on principle. The fact that the vast majority of games that they publish are boring, unimaginative, safe pieces of crap doesn't help them either.

Really did you see MW3? What the hell was that multiplayer? Did they forget how to design a single good map?

However, you should calm down, eat some oranges or something. It'll be 'K
