I look at 1800's phonographs being sold off at millions off dollars on those antiques shows and I wonder... I have an original Gameboy that still works. In 100 years, will it be worth any money?

Hey, i packed mine to last in perfect condition for this very reason.

When gaming is no longer a culture but part of the mainstream (and it will be, mark my words it is simply inevitable) True gamer devotees will lap this stuff up as roots of something important.

imagine what the sled from citizen kane would go for if they didn't burn it!

Old games are more valuable though, In my opinion. So i hoard the lot!

perhaps. The Nintendo World Store has a Game Boy that survived a War. Seeing it in a glass case must mean that it's worth a lot of money.

I remember that certain types/models of PS1s was being sold for a large sum of money, I think about $20,000. So yeah, eventually if not sometimes already games and consoles could be sold as antiques and collectables.

Hell if you had a stapler it would become an antique if you waited long enough (somewhere in the 200+ years range)
