I've taken part in two threads about this so far, and I've yet to get the actual game. Someone did quote me and say it was ICO, but after viewing the intro to it on youtube, I know that isn't the game. I remember parts of the intro, but it's mostly images and I can't focus on them long enough to really put lengthy detail into it.
What I can recall is that you're playing a character in what I believe is a medieval-like setting, and for some reason he's being put through what I think is some sort of elaborate execution. There's a crowd around, an executioner, some sort of gallows, and they put this weird mask thing on his head before dropping him down a hole. There's some combat in a sewer area, and that's it. I'm pretty sure it's on the PS1, though it could have been for PS2. I have no idea where the case for it went or the disc, or if it's even still in the house. But if I have the name I could track a copy of it down and try to play this again, and maybe see just why I stopped playing.
