Does anyone know of any charities in the UK that need/take old PC parts? Shortly I will be building a new machine, the parts from the old one will join the massive and ever growing mountain of old components in my house. I am running the risk of becoming a nerdy version of Mr Trebus.
I doubt anyone takes the chance on buying dusty second hand parts, so the parts that might be worth the effort of trying to sell probably lack any kind of market. So the only option I have are taking them to "household waste recycling centre" (throwing in my bin would get me fined by the council) seems a waste as some of the parts are pretty good compared to the PCs some people are still using.
If there are any charities or good causes that maybe build PCs for schools in developing countries (or use them themselves) or anything like that it would be better than throwing them away.
