4 is kinda crap and I honestly can't recommend it to anyone. 5 is a mixed bag, notably consideirng how it was made in two parts. The first part, set mostly in Paris, is okay with some good bits. The second part, where you actually get to start traveling around is where the game actually hit's it's stride. I'd still recommend it over 4 and maybe 3(I actually kinda liked 3, despite it's flaws).Hawk of Battle said:Also there are like, 5 Broken Sword games now, though I can't vouch for the quality of 4 and 5 (3 was definitely a bit meh).
5 does remind me of a larger version of 1 in some ways. You spend a fair amount of time(Part 1) hunting for what is essentially a treasure map, whereas in Part 2 you're following the clues on the treasure map.
