old video game name, need help

this isn,t very important, and you are probably thinking that I am wasting your time, but this has really been annoying me lately.

I once had this game on the playstation 1 that was about deathmatches in cars, where you could pick different characters in different vehicles, and you would fight each other by ramming the other cars,or shooting them with different weapons that you could pick up.

the only level of which I can remember is a skiing slope in utah

if you can help me that would be great, so I can worry about more important things, like where my kidney went last night.

P.S. I do know one thing about its name, and which is that it's NOT twisted metal!

also the opening cutscene shows a man driving a truck when he is suddenly attacked by a bunch of cars(and one motercycle) and he is then driven off of the cliff by his pursuers

That was my first guess, but I didn't realise it was on the PS1.
