So I'm on Xbox live last night with a couple of guys I had met the night before. We had become friends based on a respective love of borderline terrible comedy. So we're playing Halo: Reach when we meet a player by the name of X Smuggler, who we ended up calling hug smuggler beacuse XO = Hugs and kisses. So at some point I make a joke about the Hug smuggler sounding like a Dr. Seuss character or a child molester, and we start running with the latter. For the whole game we're making horrible jokes towards the Hug Smuggler, and they actually stay in our party for a few games. When one of us ask why they stayed around a tiny voice kicks in, "I've just been ignoring you guys."

The Hug Smuggler, the person we made horrible, sexual jokes about for the last 30 minutes, was a little girl, no older than thirteen, hell probably no older than ten. On the upside, we're all friends now.

So what was your biggest surprise meeting or playing against someone online.

Generally I'd say around 60% of the people I've met over Xbox Live have actually been decent and lots have ended up on my friends list.

I met so many awesome people in the lobbies of Gears of War... people I formed clans with, people I talked to for months afterwards and from all sorts of ages.

One of the best features XBL added was to allow voice chat for friends only. Since then I have enjoyed my online gaming experience.

I have 3 friends - all people I know in real life. lol
