So Yahoo reports a new "console" that's in the works called the on-live. It apparently will be a big challenge for all other consoles since it doesn't require any disks to run games just a modem connection cause it will download the games straight to your TV set via the internet. I dont' know could be good or really lame whats your take?

On-Live is just too ambitious of an idea to work with current technology. I don't see any way possible their platform does what they say it does. The latency from a wireless router to your laptop's wireless card alone is 7ms. There's no way they're going to be able to create a system which allows you to input a control, sends it to their server, processes it, and sends it back to your system via a video stream in 1ms, it's just impossible by today's technology.
