Well, after I learned today Internet reacted because a new Mortal Kombat character is gay, I got the inspiration to create this Thread.

In which conditions Internet reacted so negative, by hearing just a simple sentence without knowing many things about it?

I will create a list below so we can all see all the sentences other users put already.

Well, I will start first with an example I also wrote in the MK Gay Thread:

"Catwoman is officially bisexual"

So many feeling for the fan of this character. For me none I must say.
I will wait the moment when I see the sentence: "Batman is officially Gay".

001. "Catwoman is officially bisexual"
002. "Meet Mortal Kombat's First Gay Character"
003. "A new Star Wars 7 teaser is out"
004. "TotalBiscuit was attacked by James Portnow"
005. "ToiletBiscuit doesn't like TS"
006. "Major YouTuber Angry Joe Gives Up On Nintendo, Calling Them Anti-Gamer"
007. "The cake is a lie"

"We would like to announce that we here at EA are incredibly excited about this purchase of Valve"

The entire internet might not explode but I'm pretty sure the gaming side of it would...

OH! Got a political one that's bound to rustle the jimmies good AND look incredibly insensitive on my part! Yah!

"We at the justice department have determined that Michael Slager acted well within the bounds of the law and will be reinstated immediately"

Shit, that might actually cause a civil war in this country ('Merica) if that particular announcement ever gets made...

EDIT: Well if you wanted just real sentences, why didn't you say that?

Then I've got one of those too...

People's minds exploded over this. It would have been incredibly entertaining if it wasn't so kind of stupid...

Sorry, but I am looking for real sentences that cause HELL already, NOT fictional [but possible to be written/said in the future].

"New Star Wars 7 teaser." That one covers it pretty well. Also, here's two words that start hell no matter what context they're in. "Anita Sarkeesian."

"Unfortunately, due to lack of interest within the company and other projects requiring more individuals to work on them, Vavle has decided to stop development of Half Life 3"- Gabe Newell.

"We are happy to say that Teen Titans Go! has renewed for 2 more seasons!"-Guy who writes TTG(?)

"I tthink all thxose lkittle bastarbds rwho where stuipd enbough to buy are gazmes can go f*ck themseplves!"-Drunk E.A employee.

Those last two might not cause hell on the internet but I think I covered my bases with the first one. I also had to use a drunk translator for the last one.

Devil may cry reboot started a shitstorm.

Bayonetta 2 published by nintendo started a shitstorm.

Mass effect 3 ending started a shitstorm.

Disc lock content starts shit storms . *cough*CAPCOM*cough*

Day one DLC starts shit storms.

Gamer girls start shit storms

Friendzone start shitstorms.

I think you get the point. If it exists, there is a shitstorm a brewin. That should be an internet rule.

Well, if you define hell as 3/4 of the gaming internet screaming "I FUCKIN KNEW IT!!!!" then that last one would certainly be causing hell

I did think of two sentences involving bitches and stitches, but I'm not sure which one would cause the most shitstorm either in context or out of context...

Other than that: "The sequel to a good game is now only available on one platform of gaming!"
Out of context, it causes rational internet hell...
In context, it causes irrational internet hell...

Or is that the other way around? I stopped caring after the first complaint was typed up, anyway... Just be happy it exist in the first place, I say...

I think the largest single sentence shitstorm was:

007. "The cake is a lie"

And promptly gets buried under thousands of posts.

Remember the OP of that Zoe Quinn thread back in the day?

That hell is ongoing. I submit that one as my answer; you could probably find the required sentence in there.

It would be helpful to say the sentence so I can search myself. Lazy because of work.

You couldn't pay me to go back into that thread. No, I'm going to need serious time before I ever return there and it would probably just be for a 'worst controversy thread' here in the future.
