One Book Read By All

Let's say that by some outside force, you selected to name a book that everyone in the world would read. Which book would it be?

For me, I think I would choose "The Zombie Survival Guide," by Max Brooks. Why? So that if zombies ever do come around, everyone's prepared and humanity could stop it pretty quickly.

I'd write my own and then make my fortune off the royalty payments.

I'd probably recommend an Iain M. Banks book, simply because they portray a utopian(ish) future that humanity could be living in if things went very well, and maybe letting everyone realise this would change things a bit. I suppose it'd have to be Use of Weapons.

OT: Honestly not sure... maybe something really archaic or not really read these days... like Polybius' Histories, or Clausewitz's Vom Krieg... (though that suddenly brings to mind anything written by von Moltke the Elder), or Plutarch's Parallel Lives. Personally, I read Raymond E Feist's Magician roughly once a year, so I'll go with that...
