I just got home from a firework display for bonfire night. On the train home I had the option to go to someones house I was with with some of my friends. But I decided since I wasn't going to drink and probably wouldn't enjoy it I will just get off at the stop before my house.

Turns out if I had went to this guys house on the way there I would have got the shit kicked out of me by a group of neds/chavs/wankers.

When the group was on the way to his house a group of neds walked up to them and started beating the crap out of all the boys, 2 were being hit by a metal pole and one of the girls was being hit by another. The rest of the girls watched and they had to phone the police after words.

So topic discussion:

Have you ever made a decision that at the time didn't seem important but in the end was?

Did it turn out good or bad?

When I was at college, I had a chance to go to "big" party but I decided against because I still wasn't quite comfortable with the whole party scene. Needless to say the party got busted and a lot of people got charged with drinking while underage.

I'm not comfortable with partys either, that probably played part in my decision.

Ha, I have a similar thing to you actually.

I went home last weekend from uni to have a break and get some decent food and see my family, and it turns out my mates got into a fight on Friday night with some locals, and 2 of them ended up in A&E (nothing too serious, just cuts and stuff)

So yeah, I missed out on a possible beating, but it sounds like my pals gave a good account of themselves and got a few punches in anyways.

Not sure if I wanted to have been there or not. I would've liked to help out, but then spending 4 hours in A&E isnt my idea of fun either...

I was gonna go out to see fireworks tonight.

It's still raining right now.

Sorry, the best I could think of in recent memory.

It annoys me how they just beat them up for the fun of it. I wish this country was rid of people who inflict pain for laughs.

I had a similar one to you in Secondary School.
Instead with walking home my usual way with one group of friends i decided to walk another way with another a group of friends. Sadly the group i didn't walk with got jumped by a few chavs as well and one of them had his nose broken.
England is so lovely :)

It wasnt that simple actually, one of my friends/ aquaintances who was with them at the time dabbles in the sale of certain substances, so that may have had something to do with it (hes still a good lad though). Plus my mates were probably all quite drunk, so they may have been a little over confident.

Either way, they didnt deserve to get beaten up :(

The attack on my friends was completely unprovoked.

Yeah but that attack may never have happened if you went with them, a simple delay in seconds or minutes might have meant the two group would pass like ships in the night or an extra person might have discouraged them. Though it may just have likely happened or been even worse. You can never predict how stuff may work, truth is stranger than fiction.

In middle school I had the option of walking home alone or with my friend. I ended up waiting for my friend cause I wanted someone to talk to. Turns out if I hadn't, I would've been accused with starting a fire next to my school in the school field or something.

I had my friend to back me up xD
